“Promoting Health from Early Childhood: The Hygiene and Nutrition Programs of ChildLift Foundation”

In Haiti, challenges related to child malnutrition and lack of basic hygiene affect thousands of children every day. These realities compromise their growth, education, and future. Aware of this silent emergency, ChildLift Foundation has implemented targeted hygiene and nutrition programs to support the most vulnerable families and ensure children develop healthily and balanced.
The foundation’s approach is based on two essential pillars: prevention and education.
🧼 Hygiene: a simple act, a huge impact
The foundation regularly organizes awareness campaigns in neighborhoods, schools, and rural areas to teach children and their families good daily hygiene practices:
- Proper handwashing
- Maintaining a clean environment
- Preventing waterborne and sanitation-related diseases
Hygiene kits (soap, toothbrushes, towels, etc.) are also distributed during these campaigns, accompanied by practical workshops accessible to all.
🥣 Nutrition: nourishing the body to awaken the mind
ChildLift Foundation also implements balanced feeding programs, especially in areas where children suffer from malnutrition. Nutritious meals are distributed at community centers and partner schools.
Nutrition education sessions are organized to help parents better understand their children’s dietary needs, even with limited resources. The foundation also collaborates with local nutritionists to adapt menus to Haitian cultural and economic realities.
🤝 Together, for a healthier future
These initiatives go beyond providing services: they aim to change mindsets and empower communities. Through close work and deep respect for local realities, ChildLift Foundation acts to build a generation of healthier, more fulfilled children capable of envisioning a future full of possibilities.
Because every meal, every hygiene gesture is an act of love and protection, the foundation continues its fight, one child at a time.
